Shanti is a Morgan Mustang Cross. She is a beautiful, intelligent, strong mare with a big heart and personality 15.1 hands, solid rock hard hooves -- has always been barefoot. She is great for farrier. Strong, flexible, easy keeper, (a little chunky right now) Very intelligent, inquisitive and also aloof a times, loves being groomed. I have done Parelli work with her on the ground and she joins up readily and is a quick learner. Trail ridden western and english. Always been bitless. Smoothest gaits I've ever experienced. She is an excellent trail horse (not a big fan of the arena) very sure footed. I've ridden all over the mountains with her. Loves water. Zero health problems in the time I've had her. Doesn't buck or rear. She has crow hopped a handful of times in the four years I've had her when feeling frisky. Dominant alpha mare in herd. Requires a confident, clear and consistent Intermediate to Advanced rider who can put in the time with her. If you are not confident, she will test you. She sometimes will bow and likes to put her feet up on things. She has even parked out. Appears someone taught her tricks in the past. Her mane was roached last summer so it is growing out. (Most recent pics you will see the short mane that is growing out beautifully). Needs work on trailering or at least last time I trailered her many years ago she was nervous about it. Shanti is a solid mare. She will make someone very happy and will be a lifelong trail companion. We are selling Shanti because our family has grown and we have sought out a child friendly gelding for our kids to learn with and to be with our other horse. It is clear that Shanti is best suited to be with one person who can put in the time with her. Once you earn her trust you can do anything with her. 1400 obo It is important to me that she find a good home.
