Arabian Mare for Lease

Godiva is an Arab mare suitable for an advanced rider. If you're interested in endurance or trail riding, she's your girl. She has some elementary dressage training and has begun schooling basic lateral movements as well as lengthening and shortening of strides. I don't do much jumping on her since I have one who's got a bit more scope, but she's suitable over small ( 3'0'') obstacles. She hacks out alone or in a group and can outpace horses much larger than her...she has a wonderful ground-covering trot that's a pleasure to ride. She crosses rivers, swims in ponds, rides in all conditions and through all terrain, and has faced all manner of deadly creatures (deer, turkey, skunks, cows, that one suspicious-looking shadow) on the trail and lived to tell the tale (and more importantly, I'VE lived to tell the tale. I think sometimes I was more scared of the beasts than she was). She pulses down quickly and has good barefoot hooves. Godiva is extremely sensitive to seat cues (as in, you can do a canter to halt transition without using the reins), so an advanced rider is mandatory. She's small at 13.2 hands, but is built like a tank. Her spirit animal is the hippopotamus. Godiva is available for half lease only, and is not available for breeding lease or sale at this time. Lease fee of 130 includes board, supplements, and 3 days of riding per week. Lesee and owner each pay half of farrier and routine vet. Horse is barefoot and UTD on shots with negative Coggins. The facility that the horse is boarded in has an indoor arena, outdoor arena in construction, 3 tack rooms, an indoor wash rack, tons of on-property trail riding, and easy access to miles of trails off-property. I provide all tack, and have a variety of English saddles (close contact, AP, dressage) to choose from. If you have your own saddle (English, Western, or Endurance) you're welcome to use it, provided it fits. If you're looking for a ho-hum ride from a ho-hum horse, keep looking. But if you want a horse that you can have fun with, check out this little mare!
